Dream Big Casting, LLC was founded in January of 2009 by Sherrie Henderson and Dan Velez. From humble beginnings in a small cubicle at their current building on 1258 N. Highland Ave. Dream Big Casting has expanded to occupy offices on 3 floors, with 8 casting studios — plus a new office branch in Mexico City.
This exponential growth has been the direct result of Sherrie and Dan’s sheer passion, hunger and determination, combined with a Vision that has remained very clear and simple:

Brian Grazer, Will Ferrell, Rob Schneider, Universal Studios, CBS, Imagine Entertainment, Comedy Central are among some of the first class producers, and production companies we have had the pleasure of working with. From the 10 Episode Comedy Series for Comedy Central, “John Benjamin Has a Van” (Executive Produced by Will Ferrell) to the multi-million dollar Latin casting for the Universal Studios/Imagine Entertainment film, “Cartel”, Sherrie and Dan have always stayed true to this Vision.
As a team, Sherrie Henderson and Dan Velez have worked on over 100 short films, having worked with graduate students from some of the most respected film schools in the country (AFI, USC, UCLA, Chapman, NYU, and Yale, to name a few). In their constant effort to provide a unifying experience, Dream Big Casting also provides casting for high end Commercials, Music Videos and Industrial campaigns.

Sherrie Henderson Don’t let her Master’s Degree in Psychology intimidate you; her keen knowledge of the human psyche (and of course her warm, friendly personality) are what makes Sherrie stand out from other Casting Directors. Loved by actors (okay, most actors 
, Producers and Directors treat her like part of their family shortly after their first meeting.
Dan Velez With passion, determination, and an extraordinary eye for talent, Dan Velez’s career as a casting director is built on a strong knowledge of, and love for, acting and actors. From that he has built a company from the ground up and has positioned himself as one of the hottest up and coming Casting Directors in the world.
Vanessa Nachtmann Vanessa joined Dream Big Casting in 2010 as an intern, and has quickly climbed to her current position as Casting Associate. As an actress, she has vast experience working with actors in the room and loves running sessions.
Genaro Hernandez Genaro is an actor, and arguably the most knowledgeable casting director in Mexico. He works as Dream Big Casting’s associate and the head of the Mexico Office.

We just wrapped the casting for our incredible film “It’s Not You, It’s Me”. We could not be happier with the cast, and are so thankful and grateful to be working with: Joelle Carter, Ross McCall, Vivica A. Fox, Beth Littleford, Erick Avari, Maggie Wheeler and so many more talented actors on this.
